Surgeon
This is a very simple program that lets you add and modify Person files on the BeOS. Since it's about editing Persons, I figured Surgeon would be an appropriate name. Person files are files in the BeOS that have the Person file type. They can contain information on a person, like the email or regular mail address, contact name or telephone number. Most BeWare can use this information if appropriate, e.g. an email program will fill in the email address of a person when you drag the corresponding Person file onto the application. Our Review: Surgeon is a simple and effective front-end for modifying Person files - kind of like an address book. It has an option to email a person straight from a record, but unfortunately it doens't import the email address into the external email client, which basically renders this function obsolete. It would also benefit from an option that allows browsing of all entries without having to open each Person file separately.
