NetCD is an audio CD console program that can connect to the Internet to download information about the currently playing CD from the CDDB. It gives you complete control over CD playback and can also play digital audio files using Apple's QuickTime technology.
Our Review: NetCD is a CD Player for your Mac that has the ability to tell you what all the track names are for any CD you play using it. It does this by accessing the CDDB (CD-database) where all information on CDs is stored. With NetCD you can do a public service by updating the CDDB if you come across a CD with no online information - it has an 'update CDDB' option. A feature of NetCD that other CD players seem to have missed out on is the ability to batch-download CD information - NetCD will let you insert as many CDs as you like and then will download all title information in one foul swoop. An excellent player with a pleasing interface (also supports AIFF, WAV, and MP3).
