This easy-to-use and fast application for the Apple Macintosh creates catalog files of CD-ROMs, hard disks, floppies, ZIPs and almost everything that spins. Using the powerful search functions you can easily locate and display files or folders. CDFinder is fully optimized for the PowerPC processor, but runs very fast on legacy Macs as well. Our Review: CDFinder creates catalogues of all removable and non-removable media. In my test run it created a catalog of my local drive in under 5 seconds and chugged through our mammoth software database over a network in a very respectable 3 minutes. If you wish, CDFinder will even catalog the contents of compressed archives and has a batch catalogue which allows removable media to be inserted, catalogued, and then ejected, and so on. Lightning fast searches add the icing to the cake. Overall CDFinder uses an impressive catalogue algorithm and handles large file collections well.
