Fonts Manager
Fonts Manager is similar to the Mac OS Extensions Manager, but it manages Fonts instead. It allows the enabling and disabling of font suitcases and printer fonts in 'Sets', so you shrink those long Font menus. It allows you to view, print, and save font samples. Open and save 'Sets' files for limitless set configuration and easy upgrade from previous versions. Balloon Help is available everywhere and all of this documentation is available from within the application. Fonts Manager is NOT a Control Panel or Extension, NOR does it pretend to be one by living in the Startup Items folder; thus it works on ALL Macs with System 7.1 or later, including Mac OS 9, without modifying the NORMAL startup and operation of your computer. Our Review: Fonts Manager is an application (ie: NOT a control panel or extension and therefore conflict-free) that allows you to create and manage font-sets. These font-sets allow you to enable/disable fonts on your system and therefore save on memory and remove clutter from font menus. Now you can have a specific font set when you wish to do word-processing and then switch to the more lavish fonts when you wish to do some desktop-publishing. Includes a useful key-mapper for each font that allows you to preview fonts to add/remove from font-sets.
