TaskMenuBar is a control panel that utilizes the empty space on the menu bar. As you launch applications, icons will appear on the menu bar as shown in the title frame. Using these applications icons, you can switch applications, launch applications, hide other applications, quit applications, access mounted volumes etc.
Our Review: TaskMenuBar, once installed, will add a 'Taskbar' to your menubar at the top of the screen. This works similar to the Windows Taskbar - as each new program loads its icon will be added to the collection of running programs displayed in TaskMenuBar. Switching between applications is then as easy as clicking on the appropriate icon - and additional functions are available if the mouse is held-down when over the icons (for instance, additional functions available to the 'Finder' icon include the ability to explore mounted volumes, eject media, and select the default printer). Also useful is the ability to add frequently used items to TaskMenuBar and use it as a launcher. Top Stuff!
