It is an excellent general purpose munger and is particularly useful for cleaning for text that is transmitted over the internet. Tex-Edit Plus includes extensive AppleScript support. Our Review: Tex-Edit Plus has won MacUser awards for the simple reason that it's good - really good! With Tex-Edit you can not only edit text but also embed sounds and QuickTime movies in your documents. Tex-Edit has extensive support for Apple innovations such as Text-to-Speech, Drag-and-Drop editing, and Apple-Script. Documents created can be made compatible with other readers (preserving fonts/tabs, etc.) using the wide range of file-types available on save. A robust editor with all the tab/LF/CR tweaks you'll need.
