A game of Eternity involves two to four players, human or computer. There are three types of computer players. Normally, there would be a dumb, average, and smart computer player. However, this battle has been raging on forever with a fairly equal number of victories for each element. There are no dumb elements. So Eternity takes a different approach. It's three computer modes are "offensive player," "average player," and "defensive player." These are more of a reflection of the elements personality and tendencies than an intelligence level, and fits the game better than an intelligence level would.
Our Review: Eternity is a board game that uses a deck of cards to designate the number of spaces to move around the board. The board consists of concentric segmented circles with a 'void' in the centre. The player plays with 3 other computer players in a game in which each player is one of the essential elements (fire, air, water, earth). Gameplay involves picking up a card, adding its value to the energy of one token, and then moving that token to either get closer to the destination void or attack another players token. Eternity has a high playability level for those that enjoy colourfully presented board games such as this.
