Steel Fighters
Steel Fighters is a traditional 2d space shoot-em-up, where two to eight players fire at each other with odd weaponry while trying to maneuver their own ship in narrow caves. The element of exitement is produced by almost continous action and the task of protecting your own ship while trying to destroy the others. Our Review: Steel Fighters is a cool arcade game with support for up to 3 players (on the same computer). It has a similar gameplay to games such as Lunar Lander in that your ship has one central thrust which must be used in conjunction with left/right rotate to direct your ship. The object is simply to find the other players and blast them but obstacles must also be negotiated. The graphics aren't overly impressive but arcade games can (as this one does) have charm in their simplicity. A choice of ships and weapons is available for some good clean fun.
