ACRONYMS: A Crazy Roundup Of Nonsense You Must See
A HyperCard stack containing thousands of original, entertaining and often educational acronyms. The stack not only lets you browse and search the acronyms, but can create several kinds of web pages containing the acronyms and shows a graph of the acronym distribution across alphabet letters. It also contains tips on creating your own acronyms. Anyone can contribute their own acronyms which will be included in later versions, and could even get you into the hall of fame on the ACRONYMS website. Our Review: ACRONYMS is, as the name informs, a crazy roundup of nonsense... It is essentially a database of words with associated acronymic expansions (the title is an example of one of these A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.S.). Included also is a graph to display occurances of letters in the acronyms and cross-referencing ability to find other references to words in the database.
