Etchelon TRACER provides a useful tool for development for animated movies using Apple's QuickTime format. It uses Vector graphic and Bitmap graphic morphing to develop animated movies quickly for multimedia applications. Special effects and animation can also be applied to existing QuickTime movies. Our Review: Etchelon Tracer is an animation tool for use with quicktime which will create morphs between frames that you draw. The sequence editor allows you to draw as many (or as few) frames as you wish and then have Etchelon generate intermediary steps. Even with only a few frames drawn, Etchelon provided an impressive morph and at a zippy pace. Quicktime movies can be imported and reworked (have animation added etc.) and morphs output as PICT sequences. Etchelon is a well-written animation tool that isn't cumbersome.
