GEDitCOM is the customizable genealogy application for the Macintosh for editing and viewing GEDCOM genealogy files. (GEDCOM stands for GEnealogical Data COMmunication files). Our Review:GEDitCOM is a browser for online genealogy information - you can research the family trees of any family described in GEDCOM format on the web. Using GEDitCOM you can also create your own family tree file that contains comprehensive information and cross-referencing links. Entries can contain pictures or movies of the relative, important events (eg: wedding, christening), and web links. A complete family tree can be searched using markers and log files maintained to track your research. Excellent for both research and personal use. |
