The program is currently split into 6 parts each working either independently or together to form one plant management system:
1) The Plant Database covers the type of plant, its size and its suitable environment.
2) The Germination Database covers germination information for a particular plant.
3) The Garden Database lists gardens, their gardeners and the speciality of that garden.
4) The Plant In Garden Database relates the plants to a particular garden. You can add co-ordinates of the plant in your garden to show you its position all year around. You can also add the same plant a number of times to this database for the same garden.
Our Review: Fran's Plants Database is a database of several hundred flowers and a garden management tool to keep records of which flowers you have where in your extensive garden. Flower information included is wide-ranging and includes data on soil requirements, habitats, heights, spread, scientific names, and germination information. There is ample room to add to the database - allowing you to include photos of plants and your own information. Reports can be printed to print flowers by category (eg: sort by colour etc.) adding increased functionality to this already comprehensive database.
