Welcome to DatePaster. This simple utility allows you to select any date and copy its long form
to the system clipboard for pasting into any application that allows text to be pasted in.
DatePaster has no side-effects other than what it puts on the clipboard. In particular, it does not
change or reset your system date.
Our Review: DatePaster allows you to create dates in long format (eg: Thursday, 26 October 2000) to paste in any text application. This sounds trivial but the author rightly points out that the use of long format in invitations is common courtesy should you wish the recipient not to have to go through the trouble of consulting a calendar to see which day of the week a date falls on. DatePaster allows any date to be chosen from its pull-down menus and can perform some simple data calculations should you wish to obtain a date X days or X weeks prior or after the current date. It's useful - but I can't figure why it had to be so large ( > 1 Meg) for something so simple, and I found the concept of running an app to obtain a date somewhat clumsy - if it could be re-worked as a system extension it would be great.
