Diiva accesses Internet newsgroups, one of the most under-hyped Internet services. Diiva isn't a typical newsreader, because it doesn't deal with the text side of newsgroups at all. For images, however, Diiva is by far the best solution, since it was designed from the ground up to quickly and easily download, decode, view, and archive the pictures in newsgroups while shielding you from their cumbersome, text-based nature.
Our Review: Diiva is an excellent interface with which to browse picture newsgroups on your Mac. Diiva is a graphical newsgroup browser which specialises in decoding the contents of encoded-picture submissions to newsgroups. Pictures can be archived and categorised within the browser so you can build up a good collection of images from news servers. Diiva even creates thumbnail icons for your archived jpeg files. A great way to browse picture-submissions.
