Talk & Talkd are a Macintosh implementation of the Unix Talk protocol. Talkd is a background only application that notifies you when a talk connection is requested from anywhere in the world. You will be notified when someone trys to talk to you. Talk is an application that allows you to talk to anyone in the net-world. Our Review: Talk is a very simple chat program that allows you to contact any users world-wide running the associated talkd background app. The connection and interface are only a simple terminal but the beauty is that this program is so very very small - the background listener only occupies 20k of disk space and negligible memory. Perhaps more suitable for unix/network protocol savvy users.
