CatFinder is a powerful disk management tool that catalogs your disks and provides an intuitive Finder-like interface for browsing the catalogs. Floppies, hard disks, CD-ROMs, any disk can be catalogued. Once a disk is catalogued you can quickly and easily browse it's contents without having the disk mounted. CatFinder also offers powerful find and report features to help you search and organize your files. CatFinder will even print diskette labels. Our Review: CatFinder is a combination of the MacOS Finder and a disk-cataloging utility. Cataloging disks is done simply by either choosing from a list of mounted volumes or using the 'FastCat' option which allows you to repeatedly insert removable disks and have them catalogued. The 'Finder' element of CatFinder comes in the browsing... once a disk has been catalogued its contents can be navigated through Finder-style windows - even if the disk isn't present! CatFinder will even catalogue the contents of StuffIt and Compact Pro archives so that they can be navigated also. Includes search tools, duplicate finder, label printer, and can generate reports of catalogue contents.
