To search for software, enter one or more search terms into the text box,
separating each word with a space. Click on the GO button or press Enter.
The search engine will search for all software available for all OS carried.
There is no need to use wild cards (* or %). Separating keywords with
a space is sufficient. There's no need to enter quotes ("") or Boolean
indicators such as "AND". If you want to use Boolean operators, you can.
For example if you are looking for Halloween software you could search
on "Halloween or Monster".
If at first you don't succeed, try being more specific by changing your
search terms or if you know exactly what you are looking for simply go
into a specific category and group.
Remember if you want to search for only Mac, BeOS, Linux, or PalmOS software
you need to select the Operating System you want to search within from
with Operating System menu above Searchee.
Results
Results are initially shown in short format. This means only the title,
rating, and part of the software description is shown in list form. Clicking
on the link will take you straight through to the full description page
of the title.
However, on the top of the list where it shows how many hits, you have
the option of having 'Long Results' in which more description of the product
will be displayed such as version, operating system, developer, license,
size, and rating breakdown. For both formats the results can be arranged
alphabetically, ratings, or by search match (higher match titles being
on top).
Results will display 25 titles per page. If your search produced more
than 20 titles, you can navigate through the pages using the page number
links or the 'Next' page link down the bottom of the results.
To download the file, simply click on the rotating floppy.
