Spanform performs FFT analysis of WAV files and saves the output in a separate analysis file. This file can be viewed visually on the screen or printed, and modified in a number of ways. Audio features allow the sound file to be played while viewing the analysis file, and playback can be monitored via a scrolling cursor. Our Review: Spanform, or 'SPectral ANalysis FOR Musicians' produces quick and easy analyses just like it should. With such a small program you wouldn't expect many features - and that's just what you get. Even so, there are enough analysis and display options on offer to warrant a look. Functional, compact and free, can't ask for much more.
