Encoding WAVs is done easily with a good range of bit-rates on offer, decoding MP3s is even simpler while the simply ID3v1 tag-editor is as simple as can be. The interface too, comes across as the bare minimum with a lot of grey and no graphical display whatsoever. Obviously going for functionality over gimicks and looks, Pro Studio Converter would be great if it wasn't so damn slow. In the end Pro Studio Converter does the job, but there are lots of better, free encoders out there (see dBPowerAmp).
