EchoView Pro 6.0 is an integrated suite of powerful, interactive music calculating tools for musicians, sound engineers and producers. It's a 32 bit package designed to work with Windows 95, 98 or NT. It is of interest to both experts and beginners alike. Features include: MIDI Chord-Cue (a chord analyser which displays chord names on screen), a sample calculator, a tap-tempo-finder, a virtual guitar tuner, a delay time calculator, a multi-time-signature metronome and more! (Some (not all) features are limited in the freeware version.) Our Review: EchoView Pro is an eclectic collection of mathematical calculations that may be useful to those involved in the music creation business. Specifically the tools included would mostly benefit an audio engineer since the predominant tool is one for calculating echo times for various note lengths. The obvious flaw in this program, however, is the notion that an audio engineer would want to calculate echo times for each individual note his client was playing rather than just experimenting with echo at mixdown. Still - there's a tempo-tap tool here as well which works fine but I'm still not sure if these features warrant a download.
