PIPL is not only a lean and quick MP3 player and playlist editor, it also has built in peer-to-peer networking and ID3 tag editing. New in this version is the ability to print your MP3 collection. You can evaluate PIPL for 14 days, after which peer-to-peer networking, ID3 tag editing and printing are disabled, but you can still use all the other features with no restriction.
Our Review: PIPL can play your MP3s, it can also create playlists and edit IDv1 tags. If this sounds like a few other programs you might have heard of then you'd be right - for PIPL is just one of many MP3 Player/Organizer that performs its duties perfectly and without fuss. In terms of interesting features though, PIPL does have a couple. The printing option is great, but the 'peer-to-peer networking' (which allows you access to your MP3s from other machines via internet) is novel and inessential. In the end PIPL succeeds in being fast and simple, but at $US15 (soon to be $25) you'd be wise to shop around a little first.
