Aimster is a file sharing program that incorporates a plug-in architecture to easily accomodate a variety of file sharing services. Aimster provides a unified buddy list for utilizing with a variety of instant messaging plug-ins. Aimster also allows for the creation of and joining chat rooms. Our Review: A great little program that facilitates MP3, video, and image searching/downloading by use of the AOL Instant Messenger Service. You can search for files either through a buddy list or across the entire network by utilising the Scour search engine. A very cool looking interface that is skinnable, coupled with a very easy to use program in general makes this a very worthwhile download indeed. Requires a copy of AOL Instant Messenger (which you can find at Yippee). Includes integrated chat-room functions - even with the ability to create your own new chat rooms. Works like a charm.
