Mp3 Autorunner was designed to play Mp3 CD's. No playlist's are needed. It can be used as the Autorun application on a CD-R or run from a hard disk With the target path being passed to command line. Mp3Arun.exe scans all the subfolders,(not it's own) from where it was launched,(or the target path), looking for *.mp3. As it finds a folder that contains an mp3 file it assigns that folder to an Album,(1 > 12). These Album playlist's are accessable via the 12 buttons on the UI.
Mp3Arun.exe also displays an Album front cover,(*front*.jpg) if it exists anywhere in the mp3 path.
MP3Arun.exe will not scan a CD-RW.
Our Review: If you are looking for a simple MP3 player for your desktop then MP3 Autorun, with it's command-line setup and lack of features will sorely disappoint. It works far better as a front-end autorun application on a CD-R though. With a little bit of planning you can create a useful little CD which you can just pop ijn the drive and away it goes, complete with cover art and ID-tag support. Interesting.
