Waver converts WAV files to either WAV or MP3 using Windows ACM, Blade MP3 encoder and LAME MP3 encoder. Waver is a multiprocessor converter. It will always utilize a 100% of your processors' time. It is also a batch converter because it can be configured to run minimized and consume only your machines idle time leaving the rest to your normal operation.
Our Review: While this sort of conversion can be mostly done using Windows' Sound Recorder, it can't compete with a proper program like the rather splendid Waver. The speed and performance of conversion is only matched by the ease of the intuitive interface, which allows the user to convert entire directories with the click of a button. Both Blaze and LAME MP3 encoding is supported, and logging is also available - very nice indeed. The only thing missing is an audio player. Perfect for both large and small scale audio conversion needs.
