Wave Corrector is a true WYSIWYG waveform corrector which removes clicks and hiss from vinyl and tape/cassette recordings prior to transfer to CD-R. The program runs on the Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000 platforms.
Wave Corrector loads, scans and corrects a wave file in one simple 'click & go' operation. During loading, the program also automatically locates track boundaries and assembles separate wave files representing each track of a multi-track album. Track boundaries cam be easily moved, inserted and deleted.
Our Review: A rather professional piece of software for DJs who want to do their mixing on their PCs, but have a huge collection on vinyl. Copying LPs to the PC in the past has been less than effective: there can be a lot of noises (the "click" "ticks" and "plops") so this program sets out to rectify this dilemma. Our only gripe is Wave Corrector only copies to .WAV files, not MP3s (which would have been quite useful), and will only de-pop 44.1 KHz 16bit sound files (CD Quality). Relatively easy to set up and install and well worth a look for those of you wanting to digitise your LPs.
