Unlike other utility programs with a similar purpose, MP3 Tag Clinic displays all tag data from all files in a folder, all at the same time, and in a convenient, spreadsheet-style table. Tag fields can be edited individually, or any combination of tag fields or whole tags can be selected to apply the same editing function to all of them at once. Rename files based upon the tag data they contain, or create the tag data itself by extracting it from the file names they already have. Customized file naming formats can be saved for later reuse, and all name changes are previewed and undo-able. Optionally convert special character sequences, trim extra space, perform capitalization functions, swap data between fields, search and replace, synchronize ID3v2 with ID3v1, print tag and playlists, save lists to multiple file formats, view and embed images, and more. Feature-limited trial. Our Review: Although the interface looks slightly chunky, there's nothing chunky about what MP3 Tag Clinic offers - complete ability to edit mp3 ID3 tags in an easy fashion. MP3 Tag Clinic allows you to navigate the tag info of an entire folder of mp3s through a simple spreadsheet interface - simply click in the field next to the mp3 name that you wish to edit. MP3 Tag Clinic can edit ID3v1 and ID3v2a/b tags and has the ability to print out nicely formatted mp3 catalogs as well as export mp3 catalog info to various text, hypertext, and spreadsheet formats. Lastly, MP3 Tag Clinic even allows you to export a selection of mp3s to a *.m3u playlist - making editing your tags and compiling a playlist a one-program process. A great tool, and one of the few that lets you edit tags while playing MP3s in the background.
