You can go for the small, functional approach of Winamp, the large flashy-looking approach of Ultraplayer, the 'audio-suite' approach of MusicMatch or even the 'control-everything' approach of Windows Media Player - why you would go for WinP3 is beyond me. WinP3 aspires to mediocrity - it can hide in the system tray, play playlists, edit tags and comes with skins and plug-ins to boot. Unfortunately, despite some nifty playlist options, it doesn't even reach that modest goal. For not only does it look second-rate (the 'jammin' penguin' isn't all he's cracked up to be and the buttons are difficult to decipher to say the least), but it is also sluggish, awkward and, worst of all, it actually asks you for money!!!
