Filetopia is a free communications software that includes: instant messaging, chat, e-mail, a powerful file sharing system with a search engine, online friends list and message boards. What is unique to this software is the level of security and privacy that it provides. It uses a choice of strong ciphers and public key techniques for all communications and sophisticated techniques to protect your IP and thus make you truly anonymous and safe from attacks. Our Review: A very good file sharing and online communication tool that takes a page out of Napster's books and starts another chapter. Filetopia allows you to search the server for other files whether they be audio, images, video, documents, or programs. Although there is not as huge an amount of files on offer as on Napster or Gnutella, there are still enough MP3s to keep most listeners happy. There is also a chat room and instant messaging function (which looks pretty cool) that allows you to meet online friends to help facilitate trading. A very competent and easy to use searcher that has implications for yielding a lot more than just MP3s!
