Our Review: Great. Fantastic. Superb. While many like to proclaim that they are "the next generation" of MP3 file sharing utilities, SongSpy delivers the goods (well, almost). While being of a similar concept to Napster, it has the necessary features to make it stand out from the others. First, there are a plethora of connection options such as spynode, general (through a SongSpy server) or through a firewall. Also there is the option to accumulate points depending how nice you are at sharing, with the future possibility to win prizes. And it looks very very cool, with a Spawn like look to it, and the developers promise it will be skinable in the future. Unfortunately due to a non-forgiving server on our side, we had connectivity issues, making it hard to assess the actual sharing/downloading side of things. SongSpy also point out that the pre-beta nature of SongSpy means that connectivity can be a luck of the draw affair. Looks to be a shining star once the connectivity issues are dealt with.
