DART CD-Recorder is an application that allows you to record audio files from different sources (tape deck, reel-to-reel, phonograph, CD, CD Text and CD+G players, MIDI mixer, MPEG 3 codec), restore recordings, combine them into a sequence called playlist and - if your computer is equipped with a compact disc recorder (CD-R) - to record your own audio CD, CD Text or CD+G.
Our Review: An amazingly fully featured CD burning utility, Dart CD-Recorder is almost the definitive program in its field. Apart from having a gorgeous interface, it features the ability to convert/record from LP, MP3, MIDI and plain old Wave onto your CD-Rs. An extremely useful feature is the inclusion of Direct-X plugins for the authoring of your sound files, and an intuitive and easy to use interface is included to help you with these sometimes tricky plug-ins. My one gripe is with the encoding option which only features Windows Media Audio - no MP3. Still, a minor niggle in an otherwise flawless piece of software.
