Browse your hard drive quickly and easily for MP3 files in a familiar Explorer like environment. MP3Cat™ will show all MP3 files in any chosen folder including track length, encoding and audio for each file. Easily bring up tag information including song title, artist, album, year, comments and genre. Each field can be edited and saved. Play any MP3 file by double clicking or by choosing the play option. Define your default MP3 player or use the built in MP3Cat™ player. Also includes a built-in CD Player. Easily decode any MP3 files to WAV files to prepare them for recording to CD. Record converted MP3 files to CDR/CDRW media - Most all CD devices are supported. **No external software required to record the CD disks! Includes an easy to use Record Wizard which will walk you through the recording process, convert MP3's to WAV automatically, and record your new Audio CD. Includes a built in print preview and print option to print your MP3 track listings. Includes the ability to easily export your MP3 listings to an MP3Cat™ created HTML file. MP3Cat™ also allows you to archive your MP3 files in ZIP format right in the program with no external software required. Archives can be spanned over multiple disks if required, including floppy, Zip, Jaz, and CDR/CDRW* drives. Our Review: Not to be confused with MP3 Cat (notice the space), MP3Cat is a functional, if somewhat cumbersome MP3 suite that can do everything from playing and tagging your files to normalising, converting and writing them to a CD. The interface consists mostly of the MP3 browser which lists all the MP3 files found in a current directory. While this offers easy access to your files it can be a little slow if you have large MP3 folders. The audio-player, playlist feature and CD-burner are all adequate additions and, while being inferior to most specialist applications provide a solid base for what you'll find to be a good all-in-one audio solution.
