MiniAMP is an exquisite and skinable audio player for Windows95/98. MiniAMP currently supports such popular audio formats as MP3, WAV, CD Audio, VQF, MIDI, MOD and provides best solutions for your music management and categorization. Our Review: Almost an excellent addition to the MP3 player market. As far as skins go, Miniamp II blows the competition away - fully flexible and complete with a skin builder plus tutorial making for the endless customisation options. The options for adding to your favourites list and creating playlists are extremely well-done. Miniamp II managed to generate its fair share of "Ooohs" and "Aaahs" but it also managed to generate its fair share of "What?"s and "No way"s for one major programming flaw - the stop button doesn't work. And neither do a few of the others. We tried everything to make them work - skin changes, reinstallation and various messy attempts at reconfiguration - nope. Combined with the installation problems that occurred, the run-time errors and the RAM chomping, Miniamp II makes it straight to the top of the "Could have been a contender" ranks. Still worth a look for the sheer coolness factor of the skinning process, though.
