COWON's Wavetable MIDI Synthesizer is now available in "software only". What this means is that Jet-MIDI makes it possible for computers to playback MIDI data with higher sound quality than ever before without a dedicated hardware MIDI tone generator. Jet-MIDI provides state-of-the-art wavetable emulation, allowing concert-quality MIDI sound through as small as a 16-bit soundcard. Our Review: A very good MIDI player/mixer/synthesizer from the magicians that created the amazing Jet-Audio. The player is a refreshing break from the plethora of drab MIDI players we are all used to seeing, with a cool metallic interface. The mixer is very competent, allowing for the mixing of up to 16 instruments and the modification of each intrument's reverb, volume, and balance. Lets you change the playback quality from 8KHz up to 44. Definitely worth the look. Would have received a higher ball rating if not for the lack of documentation
