Our Review: Ok, well, its not exactly Winamp... Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.00 is the latest version of the every popular Media player, and like all of the others before it, it plans to revolutionise your internet experience, make it flashier, all singing all dancing etc. And like all of the others it isn't exactly compact or frugal with the memory. BUT It does do an awful lot! It has 7 (yes 7) different functions, from an all-in-one internet content player to a CD Ripper to an MP3 encoder. All of these features are well presented and it comes with a built in web browser. A neat feature is its ability to transfer audio to almost any palmtop, jazz drive, zipdrive, Rio or whatever. Like most media players out today its skinnable, although more so than Sonique and Winamp with the program completely spreading itself across the screen depending on the skin. If you are looking for an all singing all dancing web-browser/media-player combo, then you probably want this. If you're more serious into audio then you probably want Music Match Jukebox and if you just want an MP3 player go for Ultraplayer or Winamp.
