The Tuareg is a pattern-based groove composer / remixer that allows anyone to make loop- and sample-based music with ease. The general idea behind it is to load up a couple of loops, sounds, and other ingredients for your mix and blend them together into a song using The Tuareg's sequencer. Because all effects and tools that are at your disposal are realtime and non-destructive, you can experiment as much as you like, to sculpt your patterns as they fit your needs. Our Review: Tuareg is simply superb. From the huge array of different editing and composing features (6 channels of everything from wav samples and basslines to looped grooves etc.), Tuareg is pure class. For those experienced in digital music, this is a godsend. Unfortunately, it is a struggle for most amateurs. With no instruction or help given, the user is left to the old 'play around till noise comes out' method. Still, once you have sussed out what everything does, Tuareg offers plenty to play with. Considering the low low price of zero dollars, it would be a crime to let this go. NB. For US$35 you can upgrade to get an even better version, with more advanced features, better sound and export plugins.
