Crescendo is a plugin for Netscape and Internet Explorer that plays MIDI and MP3 music off of the web. Our Review: Crescendo, like RealPlayer is a free program designed to stream audio from the net. With only modest options to play with, Crescendo basic can't match its competitor for features. However since it is a plug-in for your browser it is much faster and doesn't tie up as many system resources as the cumbersome RealPlayer. As the net-based music industry grows speed will become important meaning Crescendo is definitely worth a look.
