A new distributed file-sharing system featuring fast, exhaustive searches and modest network bandwidth requirements. Written in Java 1.1 (with Swing GUI) for platform independence.
(free and open-source, of course)
Our Review: A pretty good online sharing client that allows you to search for MP3s (and any other file type you can think of), and download them. The interface is very clean and easy to use, with minimalist functions to please the purists who want to just get out there and grab the files they want (it's kind of reminiscent of Gnutella but a bit more stable). Very simple - just search for your file and click on donwload. While a lot of the other file sharing programs out there are professional looking but a bit on the slow side as far as downloading goes, Konspire impressed by downloading tracks very quickly (and at a steady rate). Well worth a look.
