To make sure that you can download the located files a link verification mechanism is included so you will know which of the found MP3 files may be downloaded staright away. This mechanism also has the ability to determine the type of the server hosting the file: HTTP, FTP , Ratio, Non-Ratio and Banner. Moreover WinMP3Locator integrates with the most popular download managers such as ReGet, Net Vampire, Go!Zilla, GetRight and FlashGet (ex-JetCar) so you may download the files right from WinMP3Locator by a double click without manually copying the URL. Our Review: An extensive online MP3 locator that has a high level of user options to cater for your needs. WinMP3Locator searches over 20 of the most popular MP3 search engines to find that song you've been hunting for, and then lets you download it. A feature that helps this MP3 searcher stand out from the plethora of others is its intergrated compatibility with all the popular download assistants (such as ReGet, and GetRight) in addition to notifying you whether a download link is good, bad, or a ratio FTP site. The only downside to this program (and many others like it) is that most results come from FTP sites, which are often fiddly or password protected. Links can also be verified by the search engine and the buttons on the interface can be fully customized. However, due to the bandwith intensity required to search so many engines and then verify them, this would be best at home on a PC with a fairly good internet connection (or, you can just lower the amount of engines you want to search). A good alternative if Napster is not fulfilling your MP3 needs.
