Microsoft OutlookŪ Mobile Manager delivers rich, customized notifications from Outlook to your mobile device, so you can get the information you need no matter where you are. Installed on your desktop PC, this cutting-edge Outlook add-in enables you to receive e-mail, calendar, and reminder information on a variety of mobile devices.
Go Mobile
Microsoft Outlook Mobile Manager boosts your productivity and responsiveness when you're away from your desk. You can receive notifications on your cellular phone, pager, handheld PC, or other text-enabled mobile device whenever your desktop PC is running. To help you quickly respond to e-mail, Outlook Mobile Manager pulls the e-mail sender's phone number from your Outlook Address Book or contacts list and adds it to every notification, so you can call the sender with the press of a button.
Outlook Mobile Manager also helps you plan your day with a calendar summary. It sends your appointments, meetings, and current tasks to your device every day. Even your Outlook reminders are sent to your device so you are always aware of your latest priorities.
Our Review: Microsoft Outlook Mobile Manager broadens the professional applications that Microsoft Outlook can be used for to the realm of mobile phone communication. Complete integration with Outlook means that new email messages can be automatically sent to your phone and reminders of daily schedules/appointments can be sent via SMS to ensure you never miss a thing. Like having an ever alert secretary, Mobile Manager even allows you to create profiles for certain times in the week (e.g.: a business profile for 9-5 weekdays) and have the behaviour of the automatic notifications change (e.g.: limit email sent to only that with a 'high' priority tag if I am at home). The program interface has lots of features to customise the service - including various levels of message truncating and optional limits on the number of notifications to send. Now if they could provide integration with one of the free sms services such as ICQ then I would sit up and bark (as it stands you must have either a SMTP mobile service or run Microsofts MIS software on your company server).
