AbiWord is a lean and fast full-featured word processor. It works on Windows and most Unix Systems. It is safe and easy to download and install. Our Review: Nice little freeware word processor, which looks very similar to Microsoft word but with less features. AbiWord does a fine job of the basics, runs well and is totally free. If word-processing is all you want in a program and you're not in great need of the host of features that come with non-freeware packages, then this is for you.
