AscToRTF is utility that will convert text to RTF. That is, it converts plain, unformatted text files (.txt) into rich text format (.rtf) files, ready for use with your favourite word processor, e.g. Word, WordPerfect, whatever .In order to accurately convert your text to RTF, AscToRTF will first analyse your text file looking for,paragraphs (i.e. you don't get hard breaks on each line) headings, bullets and lists, manging paragraphs, tables and other regions of pre-formatted text, mail headers, Quoted text (as in email replies) , hyperlinks (these are coloured blue, but not fully converted at present) ,It will attempt to generate the correct RTF for each type of text, and will use RTF styles to label all text according to type. Thus all bullets are labelled in the "Bullet" style. This gives you some opportunity to change things in the RTF using the Style functions. Our Review: AscToRTF is an innovative piece of software that would be perfect for anyone who has to deal with wordprocessing file conversion, especially on a large scale. The interface is simply a series of tabs and fields which allow you to set the conversion properties, and even save settings for future use if you ever have to repeat the conversion. The results are surprisingly good. Recommended.
