InfoTree is an interesting approach to the process of building information databases that need to be accessed by individuals and/or members of work groups. Often we give most of our attention to the design of the database and to how to store information within it. By the time the information database is complete and ready for access, the needs have changed and we may have to start again. The InfoTree Applications were designed to effectively deal with these issues. InfoTree will help you quickly build databases for your personal and/or business information (i.e., notes, messages, customer information, home inventories, items in process, etc.) for intuitive searching and reporting. You don't have to design a database because the information storage is freeform and the organization is user driven. Structured browsing and simple text searches are inherently available and at your convenience you can implement more robust search facilities by using key words and key phrases. Your information is organized in an outline fashion using a Windows® tree container. This allows you to view your information as notes within topics to any desired depth. The information is maintained in the database by using a full featured text editor that provides robust text formatting taking advantage of your system available fonts, colors and properties. Our Review: InfoTree offers you an opportunity to quickly build simple database. Ease of use is similar to MS Access and the program has some good customizing options for business purposes. For example, you can create either a freeform database or choose predefined templates for a LAN PC inventory, products catalogs, music or video collection, etc. The user interface looks like that of the well known Windows Explorer. This application doesn't have features like Oracle, Sybase or other professional tools but is fairly easy to use and will allow beginners to create simple databases.
