WinStock was the first full-featured internet-based stock ticker on the web. It provides automatic quote retrieval, export to Quicken, ticker bar, portfolio display, printed reports, news retrieval, market indices and more. WinStock Pro is our advanced product. In addition to all the features of WinStock, it adds: multiple portfolios, automatic dialup, e-mail and paging, audible alarms, flexible export and more. Our Review: WinStock is a stock ticker which informs the user about the status of selected companies on the stock market. Information is available for current status including price, volume, yield, change, bid, high, dividend and others. Updates are performed on-line using the Yahoo and LosEchos Internet servers. The user can select different options for ticker display: it can appear in the system tray or on the desktop. Also, the alarm can be set to warn if stock has changed beyond expected limits. WinStock is a simple program for providing the most up-to-date and accurate information from the stock exchanges but it lacks features such as stock market news or on-line trade which are provided by other software, such as StockVue 2000 Plus, for less money.
