OfficeBoard is a collection of commonly-used office tools, implemented electronically in a network-distributed, shared, real-time environment. These functions include: shared real-time In/Out Board, routable 'When You Were Away' memos, routable 'Yellow Sticky Notes', a Caller Contact Database (which builds itself automatically), and your internal Employee Directory (which also builds itself automatically!). All of this information is instantly available on everyone's computer screen, in an elegantly simple and easy to use program. Across the hall, across town, or across the ocean, your system can be distributed over a TCP/IP network, including the Internet.
Our Review: A nice message board designed specifically for offices with networks. Proved in this package are two programs, Office Board Client for the users and Office Board Admin' for the system administrator. Departmental users can be easily managed using the Administrative form and users can post "sticky notes" to the name of another user. These notes are sent via the network almost instantly, appearing on the other user's screen. Another feature is "user status", where each user can select from a list of availability settings, including home, in, out, sick and lunch. Reasoning and contact information can be displayed on the board for all to see. No help, unfortunately.
This software's licence is Shareware - Trial Version, which means that the Software is provided at no charge to the user for an evaluation period. If you would like to continue using the Software after the evaluation period, you must purchase a license (register). A single user license allows the licensee to use the Software on any one computer at any one time. Site and worldwide license arrangements may be made by contacting the author / developer.
