Small, handy utility used to count the amount of words and characters in any
text which is copied to your clipboard. Just have it running (optionally in
your system tray), copy any text to the clipboard, and it is automatically
inserted into the program and the number of characters and words in the text
is tallied and displayed for you.
Our Review: Basic but free utility which does a decent job of tallying the number of characters, words and lines that you should happen to copy. As far as interfaces go, Text Tally's is about as basic as they get but it still manages to throw in a broken helpfile link and a run-time error from the 'about' button both times we installed it. Oh well, it's free ( adware if you agree during set-up ) and performs its base ( and only ) function well enough - just don't expect too much.
