Comparable to Microsoft Office, its user interface is intuitive and easy to use. The StarOffice suite is interoperable with Microsoft Office file formats such as ".doc", ".ppt", and "xls". It is multiplatform, available on the Solaris[tm] Operating Environment, Linux, and Microsoft Windows platforms, and supports 11 languages. Our Review: Sun StarOffice is the ultimate answer to your Office needs - it covers everything the competitors have, and more, while still being free and now open source on the web. Compatibility is no problem as it can open all of the compeditor's files, and there are versions for all computer platforms. It should be mentioned that the interface is Linux-like which may throw some people ( if not for long ). Rich with the best features, such as underlining spelling error, and so easy to use, StarOffice is an absolute joy to have.
