Most often stocks fall into clear categories particular to the business. For example, a fashion house is likely to have stocks of trousers, jackets, coats, suits, shirts, ties etc. These are referred to as stock categories and can be defined by the user. The name of the category or its code can be altered at any time. (Updates to the code will flow through to all stock items previously set up of this category.)
