You know what the problem is with most cemetery records? The books that hold
the records are as old as the cemetery itself, they're HAND WRITTEN in ink
that has faded years ago and the paper is so brittle it's starting to crack
or so covered in mildew you can't even get the pages apart anymore.
Now's your chance to computerize all those records... but consider this...
wouldn't it be something if you could actually SEE your cemetery on the
computer screen, maybe pinpoint a specific lot and get all the information
that pertains to it? Well now you can.
Enter your records into the database entry screen. You can perform a variety
of searches on your database to retrieve your data. All of the data in your
database is directly related to the color-coded map (which you design
yourself). You can freely edit the map any way you like.
Want to know information about who's buried in lot "A2"? No problem,
left-click your mouse button on the lot and you are immediately told who
owns the lot. Exit the map and you'll see the entire record for that lot
appear.
This software now supports multiple cemeteries.
Our Review: The idea is good, but the software just doesn't come together. TCK would benefit greatly from more thorough integration - I entered a new burial in the record, but the map did not update - and a more obvious interface (many menu items actually turn out to be buttons). The help is also extremely limited, which makes getting to know the software a little difficult. This trial version allows for up to 100 burial sites.
