If your system has a video card with OpenGL hardware support, show it off with the Aqua 3D Screensaver. This well-done screen saver displays several photorealistic tropical fish swimming around your water-filled desktop, complete with rippling water, animated bubbles, and light streaming downward from the top edge of your monitor. Options let you select the number and types of fish, show the frames per second, choose the video mode, control the sound effects, and adjust desktop background properties.Our Review: Years ago, when DOS reigned supreme, a fish-tank screensaver, in all its 2D 256-colour glory, caused quite a stir. Now, with Aqua 3D we can see how far we have come. Superbly-rendered 3D fish swim gracefully about a beautiful ocean setting, complete with ripple-effects and beam lights shining in from above. While not a very varied saver, Aqua 3D more than makes up for it with looks, which is what it's all about really. The only downside are the 'stereo sounds' which amount to a constant annoying bubbling sound, but this can be turned off leaving you to enjoy the beautiful tropical fish in serene silence. Recommended. NB. Make sure you have enough video-grunt, otherwise you'll be watching some very jerky fish.
