TrayIcon Explorer allows you to quickly access any folder or disk drive on your system or network using the system tray. TrayIcon Explorer adds an icon to the system tray which, when clicked, brings up a menu containing shortcuts to the directories you use most often. Selecting a shortcut opens an Explorer window on that directory.TrayIcon Explorer is similar to WinGO 1.5x, but has been completely redesigned. Like WinGO, TrayIcon Explorer allows you to easily access any folder, disk or network drive on your system, but TrayIcon Explorer contains many new features including network support.
Our Review: TrayIcon Explorer is an excellent alternative to the startmenu - allowing you to configure an entirely separate 'start menu' in your systray. TrayIcon Explorer's menu provides hierarchical access to any folders/printers/drives/files that you choose to add - and adding an item to the menu is as easy as right-clicking on the original item and choosing "add to tray." Many advanced features make TrayIcon Explorer an excellent tool - such as the ability to prevent changes to the menu (using a password) and then sharing the settings file on a network (so that all computers running TrayIcon will share the same shortcuts in their menu). TrayIcon Explorer can automatically check the validity of folder paths and allows custom icons to be assigned to menu items. Great stuff!
